Stress Management: “Finding Your Balance”
October 11, 2018 – 1:00pm

St Anthony Parish Nurse Ministry is hosting a speaker from Griffin Hospital Community Outreach and Valley Parish Nurse department to discuss the topic of stress management, finding your balance.

Stress is a very complicated and personal matter. Everyone has their own triggers and ways of coping with it. It’s important for each one of us to not only recognize what triggers our stress, but more importantly, learn how we can manage and cope with it.
Severe acute stress can cause physical difficulties, including tension headaches, stomach problems or other serious health issues. The chronic stress response can be more subtle, but the effects may be longer lasting and more problematic.
Representatives from Griffin Hospital will be at the Prospect Senior Center on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 1:00pm. to help you in discovering your inner resources for peace and tranquility. During this discussion, the speaker will focus on how stress affects many of us.  They will discuss and demonstrate some techniques to manage our stress better.  You will also receive information on the emotional well-being programs that are available at Griffin Hospital.
If you are interested in joining in on this very important presentation, please call the Senior Center 203-758-5300 to register. There is no charge for this presentation thanks to the generosity of Griffin Hospital.
