We invite you to be a part of our Youth Formation Program, designed to deepen your child's faith and relationship with Christ. Led by our dedicated team of volunteer catechists, including several religious brothers from the Legion of Christ College of Humanities in Cheshire, our classes offer a vibrant and meaningful approach to learning about our faith.
We're excited to present a rich and diverse program with many special features designed to enhance your family's faith journey. Our program emphasizes the importance of the Eucharist and includes regular classes, weekend Mass, at-home learning, service projects and sacramental preparation. Additionally, each month, our Family Faith In Action Gatherings which are part of your Youth Formation, provide families with invaluable opportunities for strengthening community bonds while engaging in fun and impactful service such as making care bags for the homeless.
As parents, your active participation is essential. Through your dedicated involvement in all aspects of our program listed above, you help nurture a rich and fulfilling spiritual journey for your entire family and strengthen our parish community.
Join us and be a part of a welcoming, supportive community where your family's faith will flourish.

Andrea was the Faith Formation Director at Epiphany Church in Cheshire for 10 years before taking the job as director of Youth Formation at St. Anthony Church. For many years, the Confirmation ceremonies of the Epiphany and St Anthony were combined so she is no stranger to our parish. Kyle Piatak was the person who informed her of this position. “So, in a way, I would say the Holy Spirit led me to St Anthony Church (with all our Confirmation work!) “ Andrea’s goal is to encourage more student participation at Masses and at all church sponsored activities. “There is a lot of work to be done to encourage our youth to be more present as a Catholic, both in our communities as well as world.”
Coming from a big, Irish family, much of Andrea’s free time is spent with them. “I am very involved with my three nieces and all their interests. Many times, I am called on to chauffeur them to their activities.” Along those same lines, Saint Patrick’s Day is her favorite feast day because it involves simply enjoying her ethnic background with great live music, food and family. Several years ago, Andrea took a trip to Ireland with her parents to explore their heritage.
Observing others being kind in their community or simply in society is always inspiring to her. “It is wonderful to see the youth of the universal church, serving their faith community. After all, it costs nothing to be kind!”
As for her favorite church hymn, “I love the song, 'You Are Near' and it is always great to hear younger students sing in church, 'This Little Light of Mine'!"
In her free time, Andrea enjoys gardening and planting in her backyard, which also includes feeding the backyard deer! When the weather is nice, she is outside! “On the boat or at the beach is where I can be found! Seeing Broadway shows is a special treat also. I find that exploring a new country or island is also a favorite hobby of mine.”
